Juston and Brittany from North Carolina have recently accomplished something truly remarkable. After plenty of time spent on dreaming, planning, and hard work, they have established several vacation rentals in Asheville, NC. At the Next Stop Collective, they take great pride in providing memorable experiences for their guests, and they have a passion for creating warm and inviting spaces.

How many years have you been in the short term rental industry and how did you get started?
We have been short-term rental investors since 2019 and launched our first property on Airbnb in 2020. We started our journey by purchasing a property in a place we love visiting, Asheville, NC. We figured we would stay at our property when vacationing and rent it out to others when we weren’t. After seeing the year round success, we found a passion for hosting and began to expand our ever growing portfolio.
What do you find most rewarding about your career?
Our career is so rewarding because we get to combine our passion for travel and hosting while providing memorable experiences for our guests. It is so fulfilling to know that friends and families are gathering in our homes and creating memories together. Being a part of that and receiving sweet messages from our guests about how at home they felt during their stay is the highlight of what we do!
What is your favorite rental property you have and why do you love it?
Our favorite rental is our newest home “Skyview Villa” – launching soon – in Wintergreen, VA. We completed a full home renovation and put our heart and soul into the design of the property. It is truly the perfect mountain getaway with breathtaking views of the ski slope and surrounding mountain area.
What’s the craziest story you have from hosting?
The craziest experience we’ve had since hosting was launching right before Covid hit. I think we had one or two guests before the world suddenly shut down from traveling. We were thinking oh no, what have we done?! Our property sat without guests for a while but we quickly pivoted to promote local outdoor activities, enhanced cleaning protocol, and fast Wi-Fi, which drew in guests as travel began to pick back up. It was a crazy time to be a short-term rental owner but we don’t regret it one bit!
What’s one “pro-tip” you’d be willing to pass on to the community?
Pro Tip: consult others who have experience hosting and don’t walk this journey alone! We provide resources to other hosts to help make their short-term rental investment journey smooth and wish we had connected with others to do the same when first getting started. Mistakes are costly and it’s beneficial to learn from others to minimize those mistakes! For instance, we learned about HostGPO through other short-term rental hosts after years of experience, and wish we had known sooner!
What’s the most recent item that you can remember that you’ve ordered from HostGPO?

What would you tell others about whether to join HostGPO?
